Heaven
Heaven is described as the throne of God (Matt 5:34, Acts 7:49). It is described as the abode of the Father (Matt 23:9). It is also the abode of the Angels (Matt 18:10). Often seen as the final reward for those who believe in Jesus, it is instead only a benefit of eternal life, not the reward to be sought after. Heaven will at some point pass away (Matt 24:35). It will be replaced by a new heaven. Jesus has all authority over heaven given to him by His Father (Mat 28:18). A person can store up treasure in heaven by being charitable to the poor (Mark 10:21, Luke 12:33). It was also Christ’s initial home (John 6:38, 1 Cor 15:47) and is where He returned (Acts 1:2) and will remain until the time of restoration (Acts 3:21). There are levels to heaven (2 Cor 12:2). We are supposed to live our lives as citizens of heaven (Phil 3:20). Jesus will return from heaven ( Acts 1:11 ).
